LGPK590 Plasma TV Strange Display Not Seen Before

Ok had a new Zgemma box plugged into my LG and whilst connecting up to my motorised satellite dish the LG went belly up. I am pretty sure it was the Zgemma box and the fact I had switched on the antenna amp and was messing about with the lead on the roof connecting it to the various dishes. My bad...very bad!!!

On switch on, At first the screen was dark and would eventually get brighter once heated up but there is a burnin off the Zgemma Ipab tv image on every i/o input and channel along with lots of multicolor snow interference now, sometimes you will get a few black tears in the bottom left of the screen appearing. Have tried the usual white screen ISM to get rid of it in vain as expected!

Now the screen appears split in two with the lower half being slightly redder and the whole thing looks very like a negative image on a photograph at times ie solarization as its known in photography. Still watchable but a right pain in the "B".

I already repaired the thing by fixing the common resistor failure fault on the psu a year or so age and had to replace the Zsus board and cpu board as they were both fried as well - has been working well since.

I am thinking its either zsus or ysus or both but mainly a new z-sus.
Any thoughts guys as I havent seen this particular fault before???

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
        by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
        by Alicat
        Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

        Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
        by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
        by smic717394
        Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

LG 42LN540V LED Backlight Flickering After Replacement When Connecting The Screen
        by RetroComputingGrotto
This TV has been on the wall in our reception area for around 10 years and the other day the backlight failed. You could see a feint picture so we knew the screen was OK. I took the TV apart to get to the failed backlight and inject voltage in to each half of the LED strips to identify which ones had failed and 4 needed replacing. I ordered a set off of Amazon and they arrived the next day.

On fitting the new LED strips I plugged in the TV was blinded by the light!!

It was only when I partially put it all back together (including the screen) that...
