So I need to close the loop for this issue. After much trial & error of removing the chip (no hot air rework system) I believe i damaged the original board. So my next attempt was buying an "almost" exact main board on eBay (Haier 55" 55D3550 MSAV3227-ZC01-01 2E.33002.D55). So as expected, this board got me back to square one, HOWEVER.. Andy Warhol was still stuck in the picture!! This prompted me to search here a bit more and found that Water Damaged panels can result in the same effect??? I picked this up from the trash and yes, it had been raining. Long story short, I think I was done at "Hello!!" when i installed the shopjimmy chip!!

Well, yes and no. The original problem, "stuck in standby" was due to a bad flash chip / or bad code. The replacement with the shopjimmy chip appears to have solved the standby mode issue. The root issues appears to be a water infused panel that caused the Andy Warhol effect IE: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ht=water+panel ......

I think you have the defect of not read well the suggestions, it seems not a water damage tv and the thread you linked have photos of a different defect, so why do not to search for an update, do it then reset the tv in service mode, as i have told first? I seems that the board is set for a different brand panel..

Doesn't it seem like the picture would change as the water dried up in the panel?
