I have a Vizio E7-E3 that started with half black screen and no the entire screen is black. The flashlight test shows the menu images.
Since I am working on this 70" by myself, I am wondering if anyone thinks this is a board or LED strip issue or possibly a driver board/ LCD issue?
I have searched for any photos of the back panel removed for this unit but have not found any online.
I have not yet removed the back so I do not know what boards are in this unit.
If it is possible that it is a board issue then I would go ahead with the repair. If it is a LED strip problem, I am not up to taking that on as I would be working in my garage and don't think it is clean enough due to saw dust and the like. I have a very clean garage I just don't think clean enough to keep the diffusers free of dust.
If it could be a board issue, then I would appreciate any help in where to begin testing with my volt meter on this unit.
I know it seems like a lazy question, but it is the size of the TV that makes it difficult for only me working on it.
