Samsung UE40J5200 turns on and of in a loop

Hello Friends this is my problema with a Samsung Ue40J5200 led tv.

When I connect the plug, the TV turns on, the smartv logo appears and then the selection of the inputs but the remote control does not respond and after 10 or 20 seconds it turns off and repeats itself in a loop.

The remote control responds for a second after the smartv logo then dies.

I have tried to press the secuence mute/2/5/8/exit keys while the smartv logo appears and sometimes the screen remains black but totally blocked, so I unplug it and when reconnecting it starts the loop again.

    What is your opinion?
    Any help is appreciated.

These voltages are present on cnm803:

    -----------------------------cnm803 (plugged)---------cnm803 (unplugged)

    Pin 1,3,5,7 (13V)-------------------13.1V---------------------12.8V

    Pin 2 (UD)---------------------------4.4V-----------------------4.3V

    Pin 4 (PWM_BLU)-------------------0.5V-----------------------3.5V

    Pin 6 (PW ON/OFF)-----------------6.1V-----------------------3.9V

    Pin 8,9,10 (GND)

    Backlight --------------------------203V----------------------175V

Pin 4 should show 8V on stand by and 13V on power on

I dont know if it is supply problem or main problem….

Do you have backlights? if not try unplug cable from powerboard to mainboard turn on tv, see if backlights come on.

          Seems like a mainboard problem.

Your firmware may have gotten messed up, with tv not working right you might not be able to do an update/reapply tho?

Maybe try to find a reasonably priced mainboard.

Could try checking some voltage regulators, here's an example. A decent video how to is worth a thousand words. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocqn...0Fk_YPqYREoqD-

+1. Something is very wrong with these samsungs. I talked to a few of my "service-friends", but none were able to solve this kind of issue on component level. They also change the mainboard, it is faster and less stressing

Edit: Have you tried one of these? https://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=9425
Here you will need T-HKMFDEUC (UEXXJXXXX)
                      Worth a try.

Agree, for sure, I'd rather pay a hundred dollars for a board than spend 20 hours trying to figure it out.

With the spi flash programmer you do nothing, Samsung usually stores main software on NAND flash or emmc, if your is the first try searching the web for "[Model] programmed NAND" then you can buy and solder it.

I´ve buyed new main board (50€). Now tv works fine. It comes with 1111 software but there is a new software update 1121.

Is it better to update the software or leave it as is?

Good question, sometimes an update will take away some of the smart features of a tv, WHY? I don't know? I would try and see if anyone has lost features with the new update. Maybe turn auto update off if tv has that setting. CAUTION, very often you can not downgrade/go back to previous firmware.

Thank you for all, now I have last update installed.
All is right but remote not works with new software, it was an old Samsung remote. I need an original remote now.
