Panasonic P65ZT60 Won't turn on. LED blinking 3 times

    Hey all,

Troubleshooting my 65" Panasonic TV....trying to revive it. It will not turn on. The power LED flashes 3 times.

Reading through the service manual this means 3.3v SOS, and points to the A board. Since this board is simply not available anymore, I would like to verify its the A board and attempt to fix it.

I have a Fluke 87V and an old Tektronix 465 Oscope, and the knowledge to use them.

I would GREATLY appreciate it if anyone can help me revive this wonderful plasma 65" TV!

*I think I have most of the service manual and the troubleshooting tips.

It'd definitely help if you posted pictures of the boards and your voltage readings at the connector(s).

Since it won't turn on, the only voltage present is the 5v standby voltage. And its there. which boards would you like pics of?

Found a brand new A board for $99! Hopefully this fixes my problem.

A board did not fix it. Did some more troubleshooting, and when I unplug the "SS" board, TV will actually turn on. No picture, but that to be expected.

This board is shorted to ground on the +V input, so seems to be the culprit.

so, ordering the "SS" board now!
