I bought these two wireless 900mhz cameras last year second hand and set one up on my back deck and left the other in storage.
they worked fine when I first got them.
During the last few months however I noticed that the one outside was starting to act up. The CCD was getting at least half an hour of direct sunlight every day. From time to time I would lose the picture (the video feed would slowly go white and then normalize itself later if this was during the day but during the night I was getting white bars on a blank screen that scrolled from bottom to top) but the audio would remain perfect all the time. I first assumed that it was the cold (the camera had been in a modified floppy box in temperatures as low as -25 c) but as it warmed up it became more and more erratic and now I can't get any video at all.
I tried to swap it with the other camera but now it (the other camera) has an issue where it gives too dark of a picture and now has a very terrible vertical hold (studders and rolls every couple of seconds and gives a solid picture for another few seconds). I can't afford to buy new cameras right now but does anyone have any idea what is going on?
One other thing I have noticed that both take a while before they start to display anything. It reminds me of those older tube TVs however this is a completely solid state camera.
