I have an interesting issue with my TV. When turning on "cold" (been in standby for a few hours), the screen comes on with red "splotches" that flicker for a while until it warms up. After it warms up, the splotches are gone.
I've done a factor reset, but the problem exists even when booting with the logo shown on the screen; you can see some red "artifacts" flickering on the silver/white Vizio boot logo.
My "hypothesis"
I think there is a cold solder joint somewhere, but I don't want to go replacing components willy-nilly. I think it may be the T-Con board and a failed component/connection. It also sounds like it could be a power supply where the voltage may fluctuate until it warms up.
I'm a novice at board level repair, but it's not entirely foreign to me. If someone could point me in a direction to begin troubleshooting (or if you've seen this before), I would appreciate it immensely.
Thanks for your time!

- All inputs work (with sound) but I didn't test the VGA input (I don't have a source that old anymore)
- Menus work and "flow" smoothly
- Nothing freezes
- Screen is crisp and clear, no distortion whatsoever.
- Even with the red splotches, the picture itself is good
