Samsung ua55es6800m(xxy) incorrect main board - odd screen issues

Recently acquired the above tv from a dodgy repair man, to try repair myself.
    Please disregard white horizontal line#

The right bottom part of the screen displays perfectly in more of an oblonge/round area than what the picture shows

The rest of the display is quite dim, grainy, shadow in areas and overly red.

Also there is a ghosting or slow frame rate in the top right corner
During boot up, colours run to the upper right corner

The main board Inside is actually for a 32" and not a 55"
Apologies, out and forgot to right code down. Starts with ur32 on sticker and appears to be from a ua32es6200 cd01

Also there is an issue, once metal frame is put back on the top 2 / 3rds freezes the picture (no big deal but might be related). Does so with frame connecting top right hand side

Would the compatible cd01 board for a 32 be causing these issues on the 55 panel?

Backlight looks great by the way. Not an issue. Also all ribbon connections have already been played with

Most definitely as the LVDS cable may not have the correct No. of wires to carry for a 55in and the software would be different, hence the upside down screen. You are lucky in that the 32in Main Bd actually gave a picture with the original T-CON Bd and Panel.

as suggested, potentially you are lucky to see a picture. Having said that, boards for different size of sets can be all the "same" depending on the design. Since you have a picture, I would be surprised if the connectors are significantly different as they would like not function if that was the case. Any you can likely check the "interchangeability" of boards by going thru some site like shopjimmy which usually has a pretty good "xref".

Further, I would say your set has a problem with the tabs / drivers based on the very thin horizontal line (if I am seeing it correctly) along with darkness on the side of the screen. I would check the tabs to see if there is some form of damage before investing much more in terms of cards (unless they are free / kicking around).

Re: Samsung ua55es6800m(xxy) incorrect main board - odd screen issues

        Thanks for the reply guys.

Tv is stripped to panel to investigate and his upside down to play with the tabs.
        # horizontal white line is cause by one tab and goes away when pressed.

The board which I found in there is for a ua32es6200mxxy but it's an as01 where the 55 panel (despite being a similar model) is a cd01 type. Shop Jimmy has no references of this type of es6800 tv.

I did read elsewhere that the wrong main board would cause problems. I'm surprised there is a picture on the screen too. Given as01 probably isn't really compatible with cd01 (they would most likely be different panels all together?)

Quite keen to purchase the correct board and try it out.

All you guys know more, so I appreciate anyone chiming in.

Also, are all t-con boards for the same tv/s usable in terms of Europe (ue) or north America (un). Obviously main board would not have the correct cable/aerial input and power board would certainly not work.
#somewhat not related to above, but I'm very I interested to know

if you have a tab issue, a replacement main will not rectify this.

                Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
                by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                by Asraf Atb
                Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Compatibility of main boards between different variations of samsung MU6100
                by JSin21
                Hoping someone here could possibly help. I have a few questions in regards to compatibility with main boards. But I'll give a quick short run down on what's going on first;

I have Samsung Smart TV UA65MU6100WXXY version DA01

Now years ago it started intermittently playing up after a lighting strike. Lighting hit the block of units i was living in at the time. Ever since that night the TV started having a mind of its own, It would randomly turn itself off or on, and all inputs stopped responding like HDMI, aerial, but USB still worked. Anyway, over the next few months...
