Was gifted a 46" Insignia LCD TV.
TV was turn-key okay, except for the solarized image.
Tested volts at the video gamma tests points and came back with:
1. 16.02
2. 15.75
4. 10.68
6. 6.68
8. 6.33
10. 7.82
...etc
Ordered a used-tested-ok T CON board from China: 42T06-C07 T420HW04 for an easy $30

VG points tested at:
1. 15.20
2. 15.02
4. 11.72
6. 10.47
8. 9.41
10. 8.05
11. 7.85
12. 7.23
13. 6.71
15. 4.77
17. 3.63
19. 2.67
21. 0.63
22. 0.31
I'm far from an expert but these seem okay. I did a search here and saw there's common issues with the AS15 chips. I did notice that the chip on the left got far more hot than the chip on the right. I assume this is my problem?
I've never replaced a chip before and I'm certain I'm not setup for that kind of repair. I'm also assuming I could have someone test the old chip/board and swap the two if that's the issue? Or would it be more cost effective to return the "new" board and just purchase an actual new one from Shop Jimmy?
This is my first post here and I'm a newbie at all this so please bear with me!
