    Sony KDL-65W855C blinking 6 times - service manual?

    Hello guys,

    I got this 65 inch TV from eBay.
    At startup the sony logo flashes shortly on the screen, after that the backlight turns off (I still can see the sony logo a short time) and the TV starts blinking 6 times with the standby LED.

    Has anyone the service manual for this TV?

      I did some basic measurement now:

      The TV has 2 connectors on the PSU for the LED backlight. They are rated for: 173.6V - 250.3V at 740 mA.

      I measured them with an oscilloscope at the moment of the short backlight flashing. One rised up to 203V and the second rised up to 296V. After that the PSU shuts down.

      So I think one LED strip is damaged. I will check this now.

          I swapped the two pins on the LED Strip connector.

          Now the other channel of the LED Driver rises up to 296V.
          I think now It is clear, that the error is in one LED Strip.
          I will keep you updated, if you want.

              Just registered to say I have exactly the same problem. I've replaced the power board and main board and it's exacty the same.

                  If the led voltages rise identically to the earlier post then you too look as though you have led issues.

                      It's all over my head sadly. The set is under 3 years old as well which is annoying.

                          Can you post some clear sharp photo's of your circuit boards and one showing how they interconnect.

                              I can post a slightly bad picture with the back panel off that shows the PSU and main board. I'm limited to space and time for clear photo's.

                                      Like one supertech here said, forgot exactly which one, "it's gonna be bad led/s 92 percent of the time"

                                              my tv almost 2 years not powerd on and when i turned it on nothing happened and only 3 red light keeps blinking

                                              I know the 6 blinks are a backlighting issue, but when I pulled off the back cover and turn it on, the is a white flash from with the panel then I hear what sounds like a relay trip and the TV goes into the 6 blinking light code. Before I pull all the electronics off and checking the individual strips, there is a on the power board, a harness with 4 wires that run thru the panel, which are what I believe are the LED lines, but Im not a tech so no clue.                                               First one was not powering on when battery is connected the first n channel MOSFET was short and after changing the laptop started on power and battery and charging fine

                                              Second laptop has water damaged on ram ic after cleaning and changing the ic the laptop is working fine now

                                              But now I have power led continuously blinking 5 times in both the laptop even after shutdown and when it is powered on the led keeps blinking 5 times .both the laptop is charging and working on both battery...

                                              Good Day.

                                              I just replaced tcon on my sony kdl 65xg9505 and getting green amber leds blinking. all voltages are ok according to working sequence.

                                              i downloaded firmware from sony and there is no .pkg fike.. after extracting it gives another file which contains multiple files like inf, payload.bin and 3, 4 other files. i just did that usb but did not worked. anyone knows anything how to do it..?

                                              green amber blinking stops after while and then starts again. tv responds to remote control on off etc. before installing new tcon backlite was coming on without backlite...

                                              Hey mates! my tv keeps blinking 5 time and when I turn on it doesn't show anything on screen and it turns off after a few seconds.
                                              I am having the same issue as this guy: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=65126 and following his method,
                                              I have removed the right bottom ribbon cable and the tv starts but the picture showing but not very clear and good, I attached a pic.

                                              Can anyone point me to the next step I should take? thanks!...
