    Toshiba 42SL417U relays just clicking

Hi I am trying to repair a Toshiba 42SL417U. The problem is as soon as you plug it in the relay clicks on then clicks off and keeps repeating itself. Each time the relay clicks on the green led blinks for less than second. I have left the tv plugged in for 3 mins and the relay clicking is constant and does not stop.. where should i start looking?? I have tools and i would say pretty advanced soldering skills. And a high end amprobe meter.

You can start by uploading good clear pictures of the boards, the whole backside of the TV showing all the boards so we can see what we are dealing with.
Do you know the history of this TV? Was it repaired by someone else before, etc.?
Edit: Now I see you have uploaded the pictures.

Try disconnecting the LED Driver Bd from the PSU and see if the 'clicking' persists. Of course disconnecting the connector with the TV unplugged from the AC.

Try disconnecting the WiFi cable to the main board too.
Also inspect the solder joints especially the component'legs that are soldered to the feed through rivets.

Re: Toshiba 42SL417U relays just clicking

Ok guys tried what you said and i think i have narrowed it down to either mainboard or psu.. my reasoning is this i unplugged wifi module from mainboard plugged in still non stop clicking. Plugged wifi back in then unplugged led driver board from main board plugged it in still clicking. Then i unplugged the power leads from the mainboard to the psu clicking stops but now theres no clicking at all even turn on, and yes i understand that the power on signal comes from the mainboard. So now my idea is to power up the psu without the main board does that sound logical?? I believe the tv has had the mainboard replaced before because it has markings on it in permanent marker. What do you guys think i should do next??

Did you try re-soldering and inspecting for cracked joints on the PSU?

Test powersupply board for expected voltages, if correct, looking like mainboard fault.
