Panasonic TC-P54VT25 blinking 7 code

Hi, Newbie here, particularly with Plasma TVs. Service Manual says 7 blinks is an issue in the SD or SU board (as opposed to the SC many talk about). I gather from reading there are simple tests for isolating the fault to a board and other things that could be the original culprit. Would appreciate any advice or suggestions you may have.

I love this old TV not only for the shutter parlor tricks with Avatar and Tron but for the picture and the black. Thanks in advance.

First unplug SC2 from SC. Check for dead short on sc2 connector of SC board. If so, there will be a nice little plethora of shorted components on that board.
