Have a Vizio VL470M, Upon plug in, VIZIO light is yellow, no response from on button on TV. All voltages coming out of PS are good. All voltage checks on Main out are good except "inv" on is 0v. (orange wire). Any ideas?

Inv_on is generated by Main board.
How about other control signal like 'Dim'?
We also need the pictures of the whole backside of the TV showing all the boards.Never stop learning

After checking U14 (EEPROM) and finding it OK, I put the main PCB on my hot plate at 350* for about 10 min to reflow U11. Put board back in and TV fired right up! Go figure!!!!

Hello all,
I’ve tried to repair TVs in the past with some luck. Toms repair manuals got taken down and now thats a bit harder.
I picked this TV up hoping for a quick fix. When the TV would power on, only the backlights would come on. The owner told me they heard loud screeching before it shut off. This alone makes me want to think the main board has an issue.
As I researched, I found the TCON/driver boards were an issue on this unit. I went in troubleshooting the TCON but found good voltages on the TCON. I followed shop jimmys guide to test the transistors and they seem okay.... -
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection... -
Hi. Anyone who has experience with these vizio sets, which pin on this connector is the standby, the 5V pin? Trying to rule out the PSU before ordering a mainboard. I'm getting 0 Volts on all pins on this connector. Trying to jump the standby and PS ON pins to see if the PSU is functioning. Thanks in advance. -
Hi.
picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED... -

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).
🧩 Problem Summary:- The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
- I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
- The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.
