I have a Samsung BN44-00445A power supply which needs a few components. I have however one thermister component which literally fell apart in my hands and I'm unable to know its value. The reference position on the board is NT801S. Would anyone have a schematic or perhaps know the value of this component?

Re: Samsung BN44-00445A power supply issue
Ok, here is pic with location circled. I have verified shorted mosfets in the power staging section but this damaged surge thermister crumbled from heat and I'm unable to determine its value for replacement. I have seen on a samsung model BN44-00445C that this thermister is an NTC 10D 11. My power supply is a BN44-00445A. Any help is greatly appreciated.Comment

I think any -ve temp coefficient thermistor will work from any similar PSU.Comment

That NTC blew up can be due to shorted load or the bypass relay is bad and not bypassing the NTC when the TV is turned on.
There are two power relays on your board.Attached FilesLast edited by budm; 03-07-2018, 11:55 AM.Never stop learning

Re: Samsung BN44-00445A power supply issue
This samsung BN44-00445A power supply's thermister position has NT801S printed on the board. I hoped someone might have a schematic to verify its value as I'm not certain of which to put in. If the NTC-10D-7 will work I'll order it today Bud. I've ordered a rebuild kit but the thermister is not included in it. The owner initially blew a fuse in the ps then replaced the fuse, plugged it back in then the thermister fried.Comment

Re: Samsung BN44-00445A power supply issue
At this you must test all the devices attached to the heatsinks for shorts circuit first. That NTC is blown up for reason.Never stop learning

Re: Samsung BN44-00445A power supply issue
You should also check the relay that bypasses the NTC when the TV is turned by measuring the VACdrops between the two legs of the NTC when the TV is turned on.Never stop learning

Re: Samsung BN44-00445A power supply issue
Hello again, I have been able to determine the thermistor is a WMEC 10D100 or 20D100. Putting together the crumbled pieces I could make out part of the numbers so I checked the WMEC data sheet and there where only 2 possible solutions. It had to be either 10D100 or 20D100. Could anyone please advise which might be correct for this power supply? A supplier would also be appreciated.Comment

Re: Samsung BN44-00445A power supply issue
10D = 10mm Dia.
20D = 20mm Dia.
Can you estimate the size?
They typically use 10mm, 20mm will be very big.Attached FilesNever stop learning

Re: Samsung BN44-00445A power supply issue
The WMEC 20D100 thermistor seems hard to find in small quantities. I did find a NTC SCK20100 on eBay which I believe would be equivalent. Checking values it seems close. Would it be fair to assume so? https://www.ebay.ca/itm/152940849564...MakeTrack=trueComment

by lp20thI have a vintage 2008 Samsung 50” Plasma TV, Model code PN50A550S1FXZA with a power supply part number BN44-00222A. I repaired the power supply board several years ago finding a couple of cold solder joints on the back side of the board and it's worked great up until now. Recently a fried sound occurred with the smell of burnt electronics and the TV shut down. Trying to turn it back on yielded the typical relay clicking with no TV boot up. Upon investigation, removing feeds to the other boards within the TV it was found that disconnecting the logic board from the power supply allowed the...

by KjellAfter installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).
Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...08-01-2025, 09:15 AM -
by captainKKKSamsung Bn4400612b Power Supply issue takes out a new 5A fuse on my Samsung UN50F6300, without any the BL or main board cables connected. Please advise if this board has known issues and fixes. There are no evident fried components and the caps look ok. Nothing unusal on the bottom side of the board under magnification. Is the ICM801CS under that heat sink a known issue? SJ (https://www.shopjimmy.com/samsung-bn...-1473373576096) out of stock, so component level repair may be my best shot. Thanks.
