    Samsung JU6500 Problems

I've got a Samsung JU6500, 55" TV with a display issue. You guys were super helpful with fixing my monitor, so I thought I'd ask about this TV.

It turns on but there are vertical lines all over the screen. At first, one side is black and one side is white, both full of lines. Then when you plug a source into it, the pattern of lines changes, but you can never see an image.

I've looked around and I can't find any information about issues with this TV, except a few people on Amazon complained that they flat out died on them. There seem to be three boards inside, a T-con board, a mainboard, and a power supply. I haven't opened it up yet, but those are the only parts I can find available for it.

Mainly I'm wondering if this is worth trying to fix? And if so, which board should I start with? Or could it be the LCD itself? Any help or input is greatly appreciated.

    Re: Samsung JU6500 Problems

vertical lines or bars is usually a sign of failed tab drivers, ribbons or tab bonding to the panel. You could try a known working T-con if it is a separate board to see if the original is bad, but sounds like a bad panel.

    Any pics of fault?

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
      by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
      • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
      • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Samsung QN75Q6FNA backlight no display, red LED blink 2x, fault in panel
      by howardc64
      • Prior owner tried a replacement main board. No difference.
      • Samsung 2x red blinking standby LED = panel fault
      • Jumpered FB_TRDY_1 (pin 1 CN1300 left. main tcon->left side buffer boards) and FB_TRDY_3 (pin 95 CN1301 right. main tcon->right side buffer boards) This allows testing individual T-Con (on main board) connection to panel on this Samsung. Found fault on left side (viewing from rear of TV)
      • Each side has 2 buffer boards, disconnected left side flex between 2 buffer boards. Fault is on the left most board.
      • Tape masking eventually isolated to CN1300 pin 15 (CKV4_GOA) Display

      Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
      by Rubenlily
      Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...
