    Grundig Vision 7 37-7851T hard to turn on

    So i have this tv for like 7 years no issues and like a month or two my tv started having issues when turning on the light blinks like its going to turn on and then the light lights up bright as the tv wasn't even turned on and no picture on the tv. So you have to turn on the tv for like 10-15 times in order for it to turn on and when it turns on (on hdmi input) when i turn on my satellite it turns off for some reason but if i leave it running on the blue screen while my satelitte is off for a half an hour you can watch the satelitte with no issues... I already replaced 1 capacitor when the tv wasn't turning on at all and now this is happening to me for some weird reason i inspected the mb while i was replacing that cap and i found nothing..

      It would appear you have some more e-caps that have changed value on the Main Bd. and probably too on the PSU. I would suggest measuring the ESR and Capacitance on all e-caps and change them out.

          They didn't look blown out or puffed so i didn't noticed any... If i measure the capacitance with a multimeter will it measure right if the cap is soldered on the board? I mean will it give the correct value?

              Bad cap can look normal, you will also need cap meter that can also read ESR not just the capacitance.
              The replacement is low ESR type that you use?

                  I got the replacement cap from an old power supply for a pc as i didn't have any others on my hand i guess it was bad but it worked for some time..

                  Any cheap ESR meters that you would recommend?

                      I just noticed this as the tv was previosly repaired by some guy.

                      Originally there was 2x 680uF 35V but now there is 4x 470uF 35V.. Could this be the issue?

                          you have tu take new parts 105grd types!They are not expensive!!!!
                          Take a hairdryer and blow into the power supply
                          Then turn on the LCD TV if start immediately the e caps are finished

                              Good day ladies and gentleman!

                              I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

                              This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

                              I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...

                              I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

                              I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen.                               Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe.
