ON a power board. This part looks like a resistor but has no color bands. It is marked jw2 4.7 with ohms sign. They are 3 in a row. Checking in diode mode they read closed. What are they and what should they read.

Re: identity tv part
They are 4.70 Ohms 2W connected in parallel, they are fine.
You will get more help wit make and model and problem and good clear pictures of the whole top and bottom side of this power supply board.Last edited by budm; 01-28-2018, 05:04 PM.Never stop learning

Re: identity tv part
Thanks. This is a vizio VO47LFHDTV30A Has no voltages on plug/cable going to main board. Checking voltages on hot side, using negative side of large cap for ground. Everything seems ok. It's when I get to the small transformer is when there is no voltages. I will try to add pics.Comment

Re: identity tv part
We need good clear pictures so we can see what we are dealing with, must provide straight shot pictures of the top and bottom side of the board, the pictures must be clear enough to be able to trace out the cooper trace on the bottom side of the board.Never stop learning

So you are 100% sure that you do not have any DC Voltage on the 5VSB pins at all?Never stop learning

Re: identity tv part
Ok here what I have discovered. Before I removed the power board to take pics. There was no voltages on any pins . Everything on hot side shows voltages. I believe there all right. No voltages on cold side. But when I went to put the board back. I only used a couple of screw's. I rechecked the pins. To my surprise there are voltages on the pins. When I put the bottom right screw in. Lost all voltages on pins. Tracing from the 5v pins . Everything shows grounded. All the way up to pc702 which looks like a IC but only has 4 legs. . I will post a pic. I hope you understand what I'm sayingComment

Re: identity tv part
It might be, how about turning the board over and trace the line to see if it goes to ground, it's hard to tell looking at pictures only.
"Tracing from the 5v pins . Everything shows grounded"Are you saying that you have a short on CN201 between SGND and 5VSB?Last edited by R_J; 01-29-2018, 07:55 PM.Comment

by edugimenoHi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth... -

So then i went on to boardview and downloaded the schematics and identified this part in 2nd Photo. Now i am confused what exactly is the part called ? where should i get this from ?
i contacted my technician and he sent me his BoardVIew screenshot in 3rd Photo. In his Boardview the part is called X2826.... Something
SO My main concern is what part should i order what should i search the name for ?

by narfhi all,
first of all: i'm a (motivated) newbie, so please forgive me any stupid question i may or may not ask
i'm currently repairing a projector: Epson EB-U42 that doesn't start (no lights, nothing).
what i've found so far:
- the PSU does its job and supplies 12V to the mainboard via the connector.
- shortly thereafter, there is a mosfet (TS420-600B) where i can test 12V on the one side (in the data sheet this side is called Anode), Gate 0V, Kathode shorted to ground
- not far away, there's the first cap with a resistance of 0.7 ohms.... -
by YanlebIn the Panasonic service manuals, both in the board schematics and in the part listing, the part numbers that are given are Panasonic part numbers instead of the actual part numbers.
This is especially annoying for small SMD components like diodes and transistors when you only have 1-3 digits printed on the component body.
For an example, look at the attached PDF.
Do you have a way to cross reference the Panasonic part number with the actual part number?
Thanks....07-03-2023, 08:16 PM -
by FreakyMexHello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...02-17-2025, 01:16 AM - Loading...
