LG 60PN6500-UA loud POP resulting in no power, no standby

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to read.

    LG 60PN6500
    Plasma TV

    Model: 6-PN6500-UA
    SCV Code: 6-PN6500-UA.BCCLLJR

Picture of my Power Board (not my board, but it is exactly the same one)

While TV was on and running I heard a LOUD pop and the TV immediately shut off. No power, no standby. Fully dead with no signs of life. I have removed the main power board from the TV and am unable to get any DCV readings out of it.

I have removed the fuse F101 (black stripe) which tests bad and will get a replacement, however I suspect that there is reason this fuse blew, so I am looking for guidance on troubleshooting the rest of the way through. Fuse 801 (blue stripe) is ok.

I have 125vac across the fuse at F101, so the AC input looks to be ok still coming from PG101. I get no DCV reading at all at the connectors to other boards (P813, P811).

The solder joints around the coils (LF102, LF103, etc) are questionable and I plan to redo them in case there are poor connections there.

I found a string of YT videos of a gentleman repairing LG 50xxxxx line power boards and he seemed to frequently change out the voltage regulator (FC301, middle of middle heat sink) as well as a few resistors that are not present on my board. The IC (STR-W6051S) is fairly cheap so I was planning to order one and try replacing it.

Any advice on other components to check on this board that may be the culprits to the blown fuse?

    Appreciate any help.

So if you inspect YOUR board, do you see any parts that have any signs of blown part at all?
At this point it will be good to up load good clear straight shot pictures of the top and the bottom side of the board for us to look at.
I would also check all the components that are mounted on the heatsink in the hot side of the circuit for shorts.

Hi Budm, Thanks for the reply.

There are no parts that look to be visibly burned or damaged as far as I can see. There is also no prominent smell of burnt electronics.

There was one section on the PCB that looked possibly darkened from heat stress right between the Fuse that tested ok (F801) and the rectifier mounted to the Heatsink beside it. The rectifier looks to be ok, however I tested it in circuit.

Its been about 15 years since I did all this stuff in college haha. I'll look up the other components attached to heat sink to see what they are and how to test them.

I will get some clear pictures taken shortly and update the thread.

      Thanks
