Re: Samsung UN60EH6000 Tries to come on, but stops
Here is a high resolution image of the T-Con board (BN95-00628C). This image gets compressed in the translation. I also put a copy of it on my google drive so you can get the full resolution image if you need it.
This is a direct link to the full size image.

Re: Samsung UN60EH6000 Tries to come on, but stops
Test all point in volts. I don't see well to what is connected Q7100 apart those 2 elctrolitycs, but if you want test them...
If some points has a near zero V then them must be retested with output flatcables detached...
To upload pictures click on paperclip, a popup window appears, select the file locations, click upload and wait, when done close window then write the text, click newly on the paperclip and select the pictures to include..

Re: Samsung UN60EH6000 Tries to come on, but stops
It looks to be high failure rate T-CON.
Samsung BN95-00628C (BN97-06551C, BN41-01815A) T-Con Board
http://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsear...ung+UN60EH6000
Notes from SJ:
PLEASE NOTE: We recommending using one of the following boards as a substitute for this T-con:
BN96-28943A
BN96-28944A
BN95-00944B
BN95-00944C
Pictures provided by shopjimmy.
We have found these boards to have a lower overall failure rate than BN95-00628A, BN95-00628B or BN95-00628C.
Check the resistance between the two legs of those SMD LYTICS caps (4).

F=12.7
G=0
H=12.7
I=0

For the ones that were close to Zero, I retested with output cables disconnected.

I found the Q7100 that you mentioned, but not sure what I need to test there. If I need to check something near Q7100, just let me know what it is.

IC 303 seems right. That's a fixed regulator.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

IC 7100 shoud have about 12v in I believe. Opposite side of triangle. Triangle pin should have output voltage.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Re: Samsung UN60EH6000 Tries to come on, but stops
We have repaired many of these boards. It is usually the ic ISL9860. Shop jimmy has a repair kit for this tcon and also a YouTube video showing the easiest way to remove and replace this ic. In the YouTube video they show replacing 2 smd caps. If you test those with your meter they will show shorted. This means the ic is shorted. Hope this helps.Comment

The repair kit that I found for my board on SJ is out-of-stock. Does anyone know the size of the two SMD caps that I need?

do you know the voltage and uf rating already and you just need the physical size?Comment

Re: Samsung UN60EH6000 Tries to come on, but stops
I am going to check the caps tonight.... maybe mine are not damaged. If they are gone, I would have to know all aspects of them to order new ones. I could get the physical size, but would have to correlate to a form factor.Comment

He is probably right about why they are failing (heat... need to add thermal conductor)Comment

by karthurI have a Samsung UN60EH6000 that will not turn on. When I turn it on, no start-up melody. Only the screen flickers around the edges. I have replaced the T-con board, but issue persists. I have also checked the voltages on the power board and they seem to be correct.
Power Board: BN44-00500A
T-Con Board: BN95-00944B
Main Board: BN94-05549E
I have pulled off the chip IC901 on the main board. This is a Winbond W25Q128BVFG Chip.
My bin dump is below. Can someone look at this and see if this is good or bad file?
Thanks

by karthurWe had a lightning strike a few days ago really close to my house. My Samsung UN60EH6000 was on when it hit. Afterwards, the TV would not come back on.
I had repaired this TV a few years back by replacing the T-Con board. (The post I had on this is repair is here.)
When I turn on the TV, I don't get any start-up melody. The screen just dimly flickers around the edges.
Here is what I have checked.
On the power supply board, 14pin connector:
1 :12.7 Vdc
3 :12.7
5 :12.7
7 :12.7
9 :0
11 :5.

The Dell Inspiron 3480 I own (the all in one, not the laptop) is not wanting to turn on at all. It goes right to a dell logo, but it stays there forever with no other information on the screen. Holding the automatic Bios repair key combo (ctrl+esc) that should let it read a recovery file off a USB drive gets stuck on a black screen and does nothing. No amount of resetting anything so far has worked, and Dell's own support downloads have not really helped. Ive tried another BIN file I found online using my CH341A, and this got me slightly more, that time it displayed a loading bar that never moved...

The laptop charges battery and seem to react to power on, power off, reset regularly, but nothing appears on screen or HDMI or VGA monitor.
Same behaviour when running on battery only, on mains only or on both.
Battery charges fine. RTC battery ok at 3.025V.
When powered on the power on led lits, after a short while the HDD led flashes, but no video. All voltages seem present. ALL_SYSTEM_PWRGD is present, BUFF_PLT_RST# goes high. CPU warms up and fan starts and stop from time to time.... - Loading...
