I've read the threads and replaced the ceramic resistors, IC301, and almost all the caps. I read that I should replace R103-R113. My eyes are not that good but it looks like some of the resistances are off. Is there any other parts to look at? And does someone know all the resistances for those resistors? Elektrotanya doesn't have a schematic for the 50PK550. Unless I use the schematic for the 50PK750?

I did that a while ago, not sure if it's the exact same board of yours.

I should still have one of these boards at home, I'll have a look.Comment

Re: 50PK550 EAX61392501 Shutting Off
Yes. Unfortunately the board I have here is not exactly the same as the OPs I think, it might be similar though. In the 50PK550, is that the EAY60968801 or 701? I have the 701 here, I think the main difference is the number of the big white resistors and there may be one or two connectors on top with VS etc.Last edited by paulstef; 09-18-2017, 08:08 PM.Comment

Re: 50PK550 EAX61392501 Shutting Off
I like this board because it can be tested completely independently from the rest of the TV by applying a signal to RL_ON and M_ON, don't forget to put a load on VS when starting it up.Last edited by paulstef; 09-18-2017, 08:19 PM.Comment

Re: 50PK550 EAX61392501 Shutting Off
watch out for cracked / dry solders. Just found a shed load., all along the heats sinks. Very dry and nasty, thought it was a fix but still dead, maybe something has been damaged. Mine actually ran . Was told needed PSU , then suddenly it just would not turn on, click on then off immediately.Comment

Re: 50PK550 EAX61392501 Shutting Off
Right, get your bet set of goggles and good light. Worst board I've seen for a long time. Not something you see in the Panasonics much but after another 20 or more additional joints resoldered it's running.
Pay close attention to all heatsinked parts and all transformers pins etc. Some were so dry the solder completed flowed off the joint on re-heat. Genuine cold joints. probably worth a fule desolder and fresh leaded solder.
I was even hitting a lot of smaller stuff and links, some had very little solder and looked ordinary.
I have another with the same PSU, meant to be faulty, I bet it's bad PSU solders too, as it has not faulted yet which is what this one presented. trip home must had sk
shaken a few joints into contact again.
Good luck with yoursLast edited by tw2005; 09-24-2017, 06:01 AM.Comment

Re: 50PK550 EAX61392501 Shutting Off
You blokes still alive?
Just fixed this one.
So this one. stdby 3.4V ,but at RUN= 5.1 v . 17v was present, no Va or Vs
Relays just clicking.
Resistors good, check all solders and reflowed. Nothing shorted,
Swapped out all main Ic's from good board, - no change
Started swapping optos, no change..................until I changed PC101,102. Can't say which one but now it's running.
Funny thing I started with an opto swap , just the wrong one based on a mention somewhere in another thread.
They're nothing special real common garden variety opto you see a lot. chances are if you have some boards laying around you'll have somethingComment

Re: 50PK550 EAX61392501 Shutting Off
Not sure what happened but I remembered I swapped 2 FETS from another which were 3Amps less. put the 15A ones back in brushed up a couple of spots and a clean. Farking thing, back to clicking but only does 3 or cycles then quits.
Over it TBH.
Tried reversing back to where it was working, nup. Stuff it.Last edited by tw2005; 10-02-2017, 12:05 AM.Comment

by goldbird78Hi All, I have an LG 50PK550 with the EAX61392501/10 EAY60968801 power supply board. When I turn it on it clicks and shuts off immediately, I have unpluged the power wires to to Zsus and Ysus board and it does the same thing. I have read up and replaced IC301 & d304 and checked the R927 R929 and all 3 fuses on the board and all appear ok. Still does the same, shuts off immediately with or without the z & ysus board hooked up. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Hi Guys, what should be the resistances to Ground of V-Core channels and V-RAM for AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT? Is 67.9 mOhm for V-Core OK? I am trying to diagnose this Graphics Card and check for any shorts first. Like none of the power rails seem to be shorted, but I want to make sure before injecting any (low) voltage to see if any component raises its hand... Kind regards, Jerry..

by Camarada78I have a Carvin PA620 powered mixer with a weird problem: channel one shuts down the entire speaker output when plugged in. Its not a short because it still outputs sound through the line outs.
1. voltages are somewhat correct (-42/+42, -26, -17/+17, when it should be +-43, -24, +-18).
2. Channel 2 if plugged works normally, no issues, any volume.
3. Channel 1 if plugged very low volume, works normally. if goes a little louder, it shuts down everything (both speaker channels)
4. line out works normally in any situation, even after shutting down the speakers.

I bought this NAS as "turns on then straight back off again". When I received it it had no trouble staying on, just the RAM stick was in the wrong slot so it wouldn't POST. I was hoping that was all that was wrong with it, but it's now started randomly shutting off once a week. When I find it off it will fire straight back up again if I hit power, no need to power cycle. Nothing ever in the logs aside from "the last shutdown was unsafe".
It's got an internal PSU, an FSP250-50LC (which is wildly overkill for the hardware really). The electrolytic caps in the PSU... -
