    that looks like tab bond failure to me. (bad panel) give the bezel a twist and see if it clears up the picture temporarily.
    WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

        the "one horizontal line" usually points to a bad tab bond on the side of the panel (or bottom depending on the panel design). It is unlikely to be fixable. IF the panel only has bottom tabs, then you might get lucky by using a "tape block" method which uses pieces of tape on a portion of the tcon to panel cable to block a small area that is causing the issue. The set then may work for a period but it will likely get worse.

            well luckily my tv has two cables on the bottom can you please tell me more about it how to perform this fix? i will soon upload pictures of my cables

                Hi,
                I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
                Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
                I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
                Main board appears fine, too.
                I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
                There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
                If both are connected, the screen is black.

                If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

                5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens. The lines sometimes get bigger/smaller vertically and bounce back. See the video for the problem. It seems to be happening after it warms up after an hour or so. Happens regardless of source.                 Hello again good souls.

                Got an UE70TU7100. The TV starts up just fine, but right hand side of the screen is horizontal striped a bit, and there are some flickering horizontal lines on the whole length of the screen. I've seen similar static horizontal lines sometimes, when applying the cut tape method and covering wrong number of pins.

                I've cleaned every connector with ipa, tried cut tape method on main LVDS ribbon as well as small ribbons, connecting the panel boards at the bottom. Tried squeezing the bezel and playing around COFs, but no reaction at all. COFs and...

                Hello all. 3 years back, with your help, I replaced the LEDs on this TV. It's been working great. Yesterday, I turned it on (garage TV), and it has blurred horiz / vert lines as you see in photos. Definitely no physical hit or damage. Top 1/6th of the screen is perfect.                 Samsung LCD TV no picture backlight on no 12v at tcon

                hi
                i have a samsung lcd tv

                it powers on with sound and backlight but no picture

                all voltages from PS are good 12v 3.3v and 5v

                whats odd is that at the tcon i tested voltage across the fuse on the tcon and i get 0v

                i figured main board issue..so i ordered a used main board....when i put replacement main board in i still have same issue

                no 12v at the tcon fuse

                i disconnect the panel ribbon cables to rule out any panel issues and i still have no 12v at the tcon fuse

                the odds of having 2...
