I have this exact TV with the exact same problem how difficult was the repair?? What parts did you buy and if possible could you help me with a step by step I'm only an amateur but if it is easy enough I would like to try this for myself.

TD Systems K50DLG12US half black and half white screen
      by Raulnn
good night! I have this screen that looks half black and half white. the tcon gives a low vgh value (5-6v). the rest seem fine. I first removed the flex from one half of the panel and then the other. Removing the left, vgh increases it to 25-26v. I think the problem is in that area, but there are not many elements on the integrated controller board. there are no shorted capacitors. could they be a cof? Some help?

By the way, now the entire screen is black. Maybe some flex was not connected correctly... I have exchanged the flex and there are no variations, I don't think they are the...

Soniq E40W13C-AU Half screen darker shade
      by saddle_au
Have a 40inch Soniq which is displaying an image with half the screen slightly darker (or maybe the other half is slightly lighter) an example of this is shown in the images. These units have a power supply, mainboard and an integrated tcon on the panel tab board.

Where I live these units were a very popular sale item and there are still loads of them around. I've now recently seen two of these with this fault (more to come). Instead of just binning it, I'd like to get to the bottom of what is happening.

It's something on the integrated TCON or the panel as swapping...

Sanyo DP55D44 Half the screen lights up
      by blake.s
I have a Sanyo DP55D44 tv and half the screen lights up. Took the tv apart and checked the backlights to see if they were good and all of them function with test with a backlight tester. I saw another post saying it was the led driver board. It showed the part that was replaced and fixed it. Question is, is it wise to take a similar part off another board that was functional and swap or just to order a new one. The main thing is would it be compatible i guess. The last picture is a scrap board from another tv that has the similar part.

Sharp Aquos LC-70C6400U Half Screen Dark
      by scubacamper
I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

LG OLED77G2PUA Not Powering On After Storm
      by Alain Renteria
Got it for free on marketplace because it stopped working after a storm.

When I began troubleshooting the power supply, I fried 2 fuses and a mosfet by shorting 2 pins on accident, but I've replaced those components.

The tv had a soundbar connected, which was also killed by the storm. On the tv side I found a transistor shorted on the hdmi 2 (arc) and a lot of capacitors shorted on the main board.

Disconnecting and reconnecting the psu to main board cable, while still being connected to 120 V AC, would wake things up, such as a red light from the optical...
