Re: Le40m86bdx/xeu panel issue
It sounds stupid but are you sure it's not a mark on the LCD panel like a pen marker because you can see the snow through it.Willing to help but I'm no expert. -
Re: Le40m86bdx/xeu panel issue
It appears to be overlaying the screen content very much like the menu would when selected.
Is the mark always in the same place, same colour(s)?Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Le40m86bdx/xeu panel issue
for that to happen in that area of the screen, I suspect something put preasure on the screen but only slightly cracking a few of the lines connecting the same color pixels in that area only. A driver chip failure would effect a whole line up or across.Comment

by NWArkGuyWell, I will be the first to admit that I screwed up...
In attempting to replace the backlight in a UN65TU8000, I made a hole through one of the ribbon cables between the board that runs along the bottom of the back of the TV and the panel. This lead to a between a 1/4 to 1/2 inch vertical stripe running the full height of the image.
I don't have the experience; personally, to solder a bridging wire for the paths that were cut. So, I have been on the hunt for other Samsung TV's of similar size.
I have 2 that I have found and have in my possession. ... -

The TV seem to start ( blinking green) but goes into blinking red. No display and or backlight. Full view photo.
Actions :
1. Disconnected Panel's Right, 2nd, board : TV comes ON (steady green , no blinking red )
1a. You can see in two photos the B/W screen , fading blue "HDMI12" , and the wierd sides of the image, like an old CRT.
Obviously the fault is from or on the Right, secondary board
2. I taped the Flex tracks, ~2 tracks at a time- see Photo. The issue seems to be on the V lines (Assuming Data...09-03-2023, 03:51 AM -
by triplefourI've been seeing a lot of the new TVs (samsung and LG only i think) maybe 1-2 years old suffering from sudden panel death and have been over 50% successful bringing them at least most of the way back to functionality if not all the way, with the tape masking of the LVDS pins method.
add this one to the list. the issue was on the left side of the panel and i ended up blocking just 3 pins on the connector that joins the two panel boards that make up the left side of the panel (it has 4 boards total) i didnt get the picture back to 100% perfect. i spent hours fiddling with which pins to block...07-17-2023, 10:22 PM -

by howardc6449UJ6500 LCD panel has a lighter band on top when first powered on. Goes away (or gets much fainter) after TV on for a few min. After powered off for awhile and power back on, same band appears. If powered on immediately after powering off, no or much fainter band. Running the latest firmware.
Disassembled the TV and lifted the LCD panel during testing. Band is on the LCD panel (can see the band on the panel as I lift it slightly) Backlight is perfectly even at the top edge. Double checked LCD panel alignment in the frame and is perfect but since band moved with the panel, its on... - Loading...
