Unxtres, this is a forum to help people, and incidentally I have been in the tv business since the days of crt, so if you have nothing constructive to say,,,Go Away and take your toddlers mentality with you. Hello Dskall, when you first power the tv up I can see the menu with a torch, the screen is still flashing every two seconds, then shuts down and red led blinks steadily every 4 seconds. I have read it might be the led's,,be nice to check if it's a board thoughComment

Norman1 sorry if you take my answer as an attack, but if you are in business, than you need to know that multimeter is your friend, you have provided nothing about your tv... only serial number. So you expect that i`ll find psu, main model etc in google?
You need to provide few more info some photos, etc. check voltagesComment

Good evening unxtresI will admit I have been out of the loop for a few years while I concentrated on the aerial install side of things, but I'm getting back into it again now. But I'm not sure what voltages should be on what pins, il get a few pics up.

Here is a similar thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ight=TX-L42B6B found by searching the model number. It's a good chance there is one or more bad led's in the panel.
That thread has a link to the manual, check the voltages on the LD board (LD1) plug, then check the voltages on (LD3)Last edited by R_J; 08-11-2017, 03:33 PM.Comment

Re: Panasonic TX-L42B6B No Picture
Have you got a led tester. They are cheap enough and is a useful tool to have available.
As an example:-

by FZGHello!
I recently got an old VHS player from Panasonic and just for fun I want to try to repair this device. It is an AG-1000B portable VHS player from 1990 and it has a problem with picture quality in playback mode.
Picture in playback mode is very noisy and often loses sync but the still images are nearly perfect.
I want to know, is this something that could be solved by recapping or is the video head likely gone?
Also, what mechanism is this?
Any feedback is appreciated!...05-06-2024, 07:16 AM -
by Bazfletch3Hi all
While I have quite a decent background in electrical & electronic troubleshooting & repairs, this is my first time stripping down an LCD TV for repair.... I have inherited a 3yr old Panasonic LCD which has a picture, but it is quite dark (too dark to be watchable - but still quite easy to see; I didnt need a torch to see it).
I started by checking and trying to adjust all of the picture and backlighting levels, but that made little to no difference. I also did a factory reset.
From there I envisaged that the backlighting wasn't working, however... -
by ItepKHello everyone! I've found this television, and I began troubleshooting it.
First, the television kept rapidly power cycling. I've warmed up the capacitors with a hairdryer, and after 3 dimmed red blinks, the backlight turned on, then turned dim, and no picture was present on the screen.
I believed that this was caused by a bad power supply producing insufficent power (I've measured 3.5v on the 5.2v rail), so I've blindly recapped the board.
After the recapping, all the voltages stableized, however, the issue in the title still remains.

by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by JJAAMMThis was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.
Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode... - Loading...
