    Vizio E370VT

So I'm getting back to this TV after 4 months. I started a new thread as the situation has become peculiar with this set, but here is the old thread. That old thread got terribly long and some of my troubleshooting results got iffy so I figured I would start anew.

So in the few months I put it off to the side, I had ordered new Power, Main and Inverter boards. I started by putting all the original boards in and just got the orange led turning to blue when hitting the power button. So I started with replacing the Power board first. And bam....had Vizio logo and DVD content played.
So I figured I would test the other 2 boards and flip them on eBay if they checked out. So put in the "new" inverter board first....still had Vizio logo come up. Put the old Inverter board back in and moved on to the Main board. Put that in and no pic/backlight or anything. So figured that "new" Main board was bad. So I put the original Main board back in and now I still get that same orange to blue power led but no backlight.
I've checked all my connections are seated, and I'm just dumbfounded. Was it because something reset after sitting for so long on one of the boards? Do I go back and start testing everything coming out of the power board again and start at the beginning? Any one ever have this issue?

You could try freezing the flash eeprom ic on the main board, I had a couple vizio's, E371e and a E390-A1 both with eeprom problems

Did you happen to test the old inverter again BEFORE removing the mainboard?

What if the failure actually is the old inverter board.. they can be temperamental....

      Just a suggestion

I tried freezing with no change.

I didn't test the original inverter again before removing the main. I did just put all orig boards back in, nothing. Then put the new power in, nothing. Left new power in and put in new inverter, nothing.

So I think I need to take a further look at the IC. These are them correct? Is there a way to test the pins to see if it is truly the issue? Even if the TV does not come on?

One thing to note is when freezing the eeprom, do it without power applied because it gets read as soon as you plug it in.

Yeah, I did it with no power, no change at all.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
              by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
              by Hakuu
              Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

              More Details

              TV Model - LG OLED77G1PUA

Got the same exact TCON board from TVPartsToday and replaced it. But didnt transfer the EPPROM data (didnt...

              Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
              by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
              CN6401
              Pin 01 NC
              Pin 02 NC
              Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
              Pin 04 "N/C"
              Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
              Pin 06 "GND": N/C
              Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...
