    Plasma Displays General Lines Question

I have a general question about horizontal lines in plasma TVs..

Assuming that the Buffer Boards are good and assuming that the X/Z-SUS is good, would these lines be a display panel issue and, therefore, un-repairable??

I have 2 Plasma TVs with this problem and I just want to know if I should cut my losses or if it could be a Control Board or Main Board issue...

    Thanx...

Is this a 'C' series Samsung plasma? This looks like a notorious failure of a Samsung PN50Cxxxxx panel. So common in fact, that it's hard to even sell parts for that panel series because they've all failed.

One of them IS a PN50C... The other one, the one that the pic was from is a PN51D....

So, it's a pretty safe guess that it's a panel issue??

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
        by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
        • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
        • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Verticle lines on Samsung PN42A400 Plasma TV
        by xNOTx
Hello 👋 I have a tv with these red lines. I've tried cleaning and re-seating the ribbon cables but no luck! Tried all 4 on the LJ92-01485 board and on the bottom of the panel. Do you guys think it's the board?|

Samsung Plasma TV with vertical lines (model PN50B430P2D)
        by afex
This is my 2nd broken TV I'm trying to fix and haven't been able to figure out... currently going without any working TVs so am hoping to be able to fix one..

This Samsung PN50B430P2D Plasma has this big block of vertical lines which will fade in shortly after turning the TV on. The lines will sometimes flicker a bit or fade in/out and sometimes it just stays present. The length of time it takes them to appear varies, sometimes its a few minutes and other times it appears immediately after powering on.

I have attached an image of the TV with these bars displaying....

This sums up discussion related to Lenovo P14s Gen5 in this thread. Credits go to Sbaro and especially Maxpower3. The locked dump is attached.

The device is based on NM-F871 motherboard with Nuvoton NPCK397 series controller. The motherboard also contains three BIOS chips: two different Winbond chips for main BIOS and external EC flash, and also a Gigadevice chip which purpose I do not know. The password information is contained directly in controller and thus can be manipulated by reprogramming it, so reprogramming BIOS chips is technically not required, however you may wish to make...
