Unusual fault on a Sony 40v3000
Just thought I would post this fault up as it is a bit of an oddball and this write up might help someone else in future. I certainly hadn't heard of a fault like this before, but maybe you guys know different.
The fault was that the picture appeared to be split down the middle and the left hand half of the image was in reverse. Also the screen was not giving a full width display. The colour was fine and on trying a menu setting the menu also displayed back to front on the left hand side.
I tried a factory reset, but the fault remained.
I figured the fault must be the tcon board as the menu was back to front, and a replacement tcon did indeed cure the problem.
