Hi i have a 47 inch toshiba with the chicony pk101w0710i i am experimenting with.
The initial problem, as usual, was backlights. I cannot get them anywhere, so i have modified some LG strips to fit.
On first power up tv will stay on for hours, but if its turned of and on again, backlights will fail.
I beleive it is the protection on the psu detecting a variance from spec and shutting them off, as when they fail they have no power.
if i supply them from a seperate source they are fine.
My question is, does anyone know a way of disabling the protection on the psu temporarily so i can continue to experiment?
