Hisense LHD32D33EU repair, vertical lines, T-CON, BOE HV320WX2-206 cell

No solution to this one yet. Possibly there won’t be any.

Vertical lines covering all the panel, they depend on image. See pictures. Greenish one is with antena connected. Blueish one is without antena. White strip moves every second, I guess there’s a "no signal" screen saver moving along the screen. See the rounded "aura" that looks very familiar to T-CON problems.

Visual inspection at T-CON is normal, nothing burnt or ugly. It has a Global Mixed Mode G5562A Bias Power Supply IC. It has two coils and two diodes (DC-DC). One measures 16V and the other is 3.3V. I can measure other T-CON testpoints if they’re relevant to this issue.

    Can it be saved?

I’d have bet that this is no FW problem at all, but I’ve tried anyway. It’s risky to upgrade FW without seeing anything on screen. Connected USB with bin file and plugged the TV. LED starts flashing between blue and red, slowly. After a minute it blinks faster, indefinitely. After 10 minutes I decide to unplug and plug again. Same problem, as expected. Now it seems it has lost tuned TV channels.

Not in my case. I've tried two times. Got tired of waiting for it to go to standby after 15 minutes. I don't know if it has updated, but now I'm unable to put it in TV mode. No improvement in image.

I've removed front frame to inspect LCD glass borders and tab bonds. Nothing to report. No abnormal dirtiness or cracks.

Seems bad LCD panel to me.

have you disconnected one of the ribbon cables that links from the t-con to the panel to see if you get half a clear picture. do each side and see what happens.

This T-CON is not detachable. It’s a long PCB that has 4 tab bonds that go directly to LCD panel. No connectors. I’ve touched every tab bond with no changes in image.

doh, not sure if you had a shorted cap on the panel driver board, that it would give you a pic at all, but worth checking.

Thanks for all advice and ideas. This case is closed with no solution and the TV is back to the customer.

This looks like the same problem as a tv I was thinking of buying... Maybe I should avoid it...

                    Haven't physically seen it however.

I can easily fix this in just 30 minutes .That problem is related to missing Von or Voff on the COF ,the Cofs comes in about three different types .You will have yo bypass that missing voltage using a very small wire for my case I get those wires from 12v Relays .For more info about this am always available at no charge.Even on other models.

Then feel free at no charge to start a thread documenting how to do this repair next time you fix one.

                          Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                          by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                          Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

                          Hello,

                          i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

                          Thank you for your help

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

                          by rfxcasey
I have an Siemens HMI with vertical lines on half of the screen. These lines aren't scrambled garbage but rather very regular in pattern and color. I have replaced the LCD with a new one and still the problem persists. I'm wondering if this isn't indicative of a bad video process chip or video memory? Any help would be appreciated. The cable appears to be OK but one pin on the header is unpopulated, though there isn't any loose wire to suggest one broke off or popped out of the connector. In the picture below where the connector is busted out of the side, I did that with my small screw driver...
