See pic the side that goes to the power supply is the one I disconnected.
Seems that line also goes to T conn, via that small red wire.

so there is no flickering of the back lights when it self powers them?
if you disconnect the 2 t-con cables (power and lvds) then try to power it up, it might answer that question, but i doubt the t-con would be to blame.WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?Comment

Good, your PS and backlights are OK.
Those wires on the T-CON that go to the power supply board are for LED backlights zone control, they are the PWM dimming for each zone of the LEDS.
You can put all the cables back in place and then remove that small connector on that T-CON board which goes to the power supply board and see what happen.Never stop learning

BTW, I need the pictures of the power supply board around the connector that goes to the main board hoping to get the pin names of that connector.Never stop learning

So with everything all hook back up except the small connector on the T-C0N board gong to the power supply board and you get backlights, but do you get pictures on the screen now. You also need to find out if you do have 12VDC at both ends (with ref. to chassis GND) of the SMD fuse on the T-CON board or not.
BTW, it is good news that it is not LED problem.Never stop learning

on the tcon board you have two ribbon cables going to the panel pcb if you disconnect one side and then turn the tv on what is shown on the screen? then replace that cable and try with the other side disconnected what shown on the screen.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -

Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3).
