Hello all! I have a Zenith Z50PJ240 with an LG 50T1 main, Ysus, and Zsus boards. The TV powers on and functions normally but it has a pixel storm with pinkish pixels, pixel blackout in certain areas on occasion, and occasional image ghosting I have downloaded the repair manual and checked the voltages for VS, VY, VSC, and VZB. Everything is within spec. Anybody have any ideas on where to check next? Thanks in advance!

Check for poor or cracked solder joints around the coils on the boards and make good.Willing to help but I'm no expert. -

This is what a typical cracked solder joint would look like on those coils

As dick Barton stated, there is a chance that you could have an issue with the cracked solder joints, but if you are unable to find any, it is possible you could have one transistor that is not fully but only partially shorted and causing the pixelation and ghosting you are describing. We have seen the pixelation come from the Y-sustain in the past, but the ghosting you have described does make it seem like a Z-sus issue.Comment

If you still have the same pink problem after making good the solder joints then search Youtube for video's on testing mosefts, transistors and diodes. Easier than trying to explain.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

This appears to be a Z-sus Bd issue. Replace the Z-sus Bd and you issue will go away.Comment

Re: Zenith Z50PJ240 Pixel StormHelp
Correction, the image ghosting and pixel blackout is gone however the pixel storm is still present. I verified the VY, VSC, and VSB voltages and all are exactly where they should be. There is a green light on the control board that is blinking in a set pattern. Any idea if it would indicate a fault. Anybody have any other ideas on where to check for the pixel storm problem?Comment

Re: Zenith Z50PJ240 Pixel StormHelp
So the pixel storm is still present but has moved from the center of the screen with ghosting to the edges of the screen with no ghosting. I am thinking about replacing the Ysus board but dont want to just throw parts at it. Anyone have any advice?Comment

by cmonkeyTurned on my lovely plasma and after about 30 seconds the screen below showed up. None of the inputs are responsive, just the red light flashes when I push it. Remote doesn't work either. To turn it off I need to unplug it and when I plug it in again it turns back on to this screen.
I only found one reference to this issue with a different model but it didn't look super reliable. Only mentioned a 'main board fault'. The main board for this one is on ebay for $34 so might need to go with that.
Anyone seen this before?

by rumi409 Hi,
I'm trying to resurrect a LG OLED C1 TV that has some panel banding. I used the TCON error bypass to get a picture. I was able to update the firmware as well. But when I performed a pixel cleaning to try to get the banding out, it made the image significantly worse. I tried to undo the effects of the pixel cleaning by performing a factory reset and IN_Stop, but that didn't work. Any way to reset pixel cleaning data?...1 Photo -
by ZockeXHeya! I have a Google pixel 6 with some important data on it, and since it's the new Google SOC I'm not really sure if it's possible to solder the storage to a new board.
If anyone has or knows how to get a Boardview of the pixel 6 (not pro) that would help me immensely.
Best regards, Alexander Dorn.-

by groomitHi,
I just replaced the battery on a Google Pixel 5.
After that the proximity sensor isn't functioning properly any more. It is constantly activated. So when playing a voice message on Whatsapp, the Screen instantly turns off.
Checking with a sensor app I can verify weird behavior of the sensor. It is triggered when nothing is near and sometimes works correctly when squeezing the phone next to the sensor hole.
The rubber seal is on again (as mentioned in various suggestions in other forums).
This smells like a cold or broken solder joint. So I'd like to reflow... -
