I have a Pioneer PDP-5070PU that is no longer working. I lost power for a short time last week, and now the unit turns on then immediately turns off. I am getting 8 blue blinks. I first experienced this issue last year after a power outage. I had unplugged the TV for a while, plugged it back in, and then it worked fine. Now I can't get it to start at all. I actually did manage to get it running one time, but there was no audio. I turned the TV off and haven't been able to get it back on since.
I've seen various reports for other models, and it appears that it's related to the IC regulator on the main board. Does anyone know if it is the same for my model? I was going to replace the entire main board and hope that it solves the problem. I looked at the service manual, and it looks like it's "Main IIC Communication." I noticed that my main board is the ANP2146-C, but I can only find the ANP2146-B. They look exactly the same from what I can see. Will that board work? If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.
