      I found out that the posistor can be checked with an ohmmeter.
      Mine 's measurements are:

      pin 2 to 1: 580 Ohm.
      pin 2 to 3: 15 Ohm.

      These mean my posistor is ok.
      So, final diagnosis: the fuse just decided to...suicide .

        R801 Posistor is for the degaussing coil only. If the fuse was blown I would at least replace c834 and c832, if they are weak the power supply may not start properly especially if its been unpluged for some time.

          I have replaced them (c834 and c832) even though they seem ok.
