Initially I would disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cables to the Tcon and panel and check there has been no water damage to the panel strip. This appears to becoming more common with Tcons located at the bottom of the screens.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

You are poor of description, in text and in title.. from an engineer i expect more.. what are those colors? Maybe it's a self test? Is beginned by you or it runs by itself? if the second it seem the image is not so good as there are stripes.. have you tried to enter the service menu? I saw in many Sams. Srv.menu an item "Test pattern", never tried 'cause no needed and potentially risky.. but this mode could be entered by accident or by inquination of the settings memory, another try is to reset this memory by the short on pins, have you ever done it?

          Dear David

Those colours are generated by a flat screen generator loaded onto a usb stick and run to show the problems with the vertical lines ...which are more predominant when on vivid RGB....or for you RED.GREEN.BLUE....I am hoping its just the T-Con straps that are not seated properly..and the contacts are not dirty and need cleaning....I retired as a TV engineer 18 years ago and started my life with Bang and Olufsen working on THE OLD VALVE tv's...back in the 60'...but still keep my hand in occasionally.....Thanks for your response....Derek Marsden(old school engineer)...

Oh By the way David I did initially try the test screen generated by the TV....and samsung suggested it also....but I am way beyond that,as I told samsung....The picture is predominantly fine it's just on certain colours you see these lines....ie snooker.football..etc
If you want me to send you a download for the Flat screen generator I can do so and you can download it to a usb stick.....its vey useful for showing different faults....eithe witk the t-con or motherboard....Regards Again

Does it show up on the osd?
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

OK now better, this type of fault is already be seen on the forums, this too, or is very similar, all i can remember is that most of the suggestion was "panel fault" and many experts says that Samsung have an high raito of panels failure. What generates this fault i don't know, but watch yourself if you want, i think experiments o swapping tcon's are been already done, and i believe is not it, you can try to dismantle the screen and see if a pressure on the tabs makes some difference and if so the maximum you can do is to put some material for compression, silicone for example (chips on tabs gets very hot).. By one BAng&Olufsen employee, that is the most expensive brand i know, i expect that no Samsungs are choosed :-) , i think one of the most reliable is Panasonic but not the cheaper models that are sometimes Turkysh Vestel's rebranded, It's difficult to make a chart 'cause there's no sales data available... BYE..

Yes it does.....The lines appear to be in the foreground of the picture...I'm almost at a loss now...but will try putting some compression heat sink pads on the panel tabs...another guy on utube tried this and it seemed to work.....will let you know the outcome...

                    hi,

                    any news?
I have a similar problem with Samsung UE46ES7000 but depending from displayed color vertical lines are black or white like in the attached sample photos (I've generated them on a computer and one is from tv).
I got a second TCON board and replaced it but it didn't help.
I can see some dirt or so on the golden connectors from the two ribbons coming from the panel to the tcon but had no luck with cleaning them - not sure if they could be a cause.

                    greetings
                    Tomek
