@dick_barton if you had seen the photo of the LCD panel board you probably wouldn't suspect the t-con. The left side of the board (from the front of the TV) looks in a right state.

Over the last week or so I had priced up new t-con boards and found them very reasonable at $20 including delivery.
Not checked the lcd panel boards yet but is it possible for a beginner to actually swap out these boards, even if they don't cost an arm and a leg?Attached FilesComment

It's hard to see just how damaged the circuit board is because of the flashlight. However you can try with cotton buds and alcohol to clean it up as much as possible but very, very carefully so that you do not damage any ribbon connections.
These circuit boards are attached to the lcd panel and unfortunately if they are damaged then the panel is useless. You cannot change the circuit board.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

It is really annoying that they put the Tcon and panel tabs at the bottom of sets knowing full well that they are easily damaged.
Sell your power supply, mainboard and leds to get some money back towards a replacement set. When you advertise the mainboard also give the panel details it was connected to.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

I was planning to use the power supply to power up a couple of Omega2+'s that are very fussy about the precise voltage they require. Must be spot on 3.3V or they'll not bootup.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi guys,
I managed to semi-kill an ASRock N100M board after updating Bios from 1.10 to 2.01. It's a zombie now, dead, but not dead.
ASRock N100M special features:
- CPU soldered to board, small Intel 12th gen
- iGPU
- four POST LEDs
Problem after updating Bios to 2.01 using the in-Bios update tool: no picture, no boot.
I am not sure anymore if it booted at least once successfully after updating the bios to 2.01, maybe not, I can't remember. I think it did not.

Hi all. I was given this JBL Flip Essential speaker that 'fell from about 8 feet' and then the bluetooth would no longer function. It seems to power on normally and responds to button presses, but it will not showup on bluetooth for any device I try to connect to it.
The bluetooth daughter board has a 26mhz oscillator that I could not get to read the proper frequency so I tried replacing that to no avail. Thought maybe something was wrong with the bluetooth IC it's connected to, so I tried replacing that as well. None...10-28-2024, 09:29 PM -
When I select the FM receiver, I find a radio station, the sound is heard on REC OUT(L,R), REC TAPE1(L,R),REC TAPE2(L,R) on high-ohm headphones, the sound regulation does not work.
The output reacts when I connect the record player to PRE OUT FRONT L, the sound is heard in the speaker but the sound regulation does not work. Then it does not matter what I chose on the front selector.
I replaced the capacitor C303/0.047F, nothing changes.
I'm asking for help, what should I do next?

Hi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
