So i have a lc-70le650u. Its in great shape but the display has gone out. Please help me figure out what board/hardware is causing this. Ive repaired many electronics and cars and pretty much a little bit of everything. New to tvs though. Im hoping this i a common problem and solution is somewhat straight forward. Here is a picture and i will post more soon. Maybe a video as well if possible. Basically it turns on and the display really slowly starts to illuminate, all in a green tint with lines through it. Lines become broghter and more pronoumced every couple seconds. Ive read and it seems like its happened to a lot of these sharp leds. Any help greatly appreciated.

That for sure looks like either tcon or panel fault. You could try reseating the lvds cable to start. There's most likely two of them on top of the t-con board period but if you look up 70 inch Sharp or Vizio e701-a3 you could try I'm disconnecting and reseating some of these connectors to see if the picture stabilizes before going any further. The main board is doing its job since it is providing an image. That will not be the problem nor will the power supply. So you're only left with the t-con or panel problemLast edited by freakaftr8; 02-27-2017, 09:25 AM.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

by zoontzWondering if anyone has addressed an issue with the SHARP 70” LC-70UD27U having thin black and white lines running from left to right horizontally on the screen. I snagged this TV set from a neighbor since I have been successful in repairing numerous other TVs. I assume this probably happens to other TV sets and may have been addressed in another thread. If so please point me in the right direction.
What I have tried so far.
I have tested all HDMI inputs with the same results.
I have checked for firmware updates.
I have reset to factory settings.

by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by jaco2dThis is only my seond post and so far i am very impressed with the forums.
I have a Sharp 50bj2ke which is 6 month out of gaurantee and has devoloped horizontal lines, i have tried to research as much as possible but i am no further is diagnosing the issue. When i turn the tv on it works good with only a thin line right at the top of the screen which i could live with but after a couple hours of use the lines start to appear in the middle of the screen and now the bottom.
The small white box thing in the pics is not the tv its a reflection from the window
Any suggestions... -
by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by DrvLikHellHello again! I have come back for some wisdom and hopefully for some guidance with this problem I'm having. The TV is a 4k 55" Sharp LC-55p6050u and the problem is every other line of the bottom 32 lines flickers out, comes mostly back, then flickers out again, and repeats this continually. The lines on the bottom right of the screen go out completely while the lines on the bottom left are affected so slightly that it's almost impossible to see it. There is a gradual gradient from appearing almost perfectly fine on the bottom left, to an obvious problem on the bottom right.
