    LE40r87bd - Works after 10+mins

I have this tv in for repair. The tv works perfectly after an initial 10min. During that 1o mins, it's hell; tv restarts, clicks, screen gets fuzzy etc. I dont know where to start. Caps look of etc.

    I've added two pictures.

What is all that goo over the bottom part of that main board? Everything seems to be covert in something. Yuck. That should be cleaned up. Can we see the backside of the main board too?
On the PSU in the middle on the right side there is a pin out chart. Hook everything up and post the DC voltages measured on that connector. You can try heating one board with a hair dryer for 2-3 mins and see if the problem goes away.

For a start your mainboard has no bloody heatsink ! Also Vince its not flux its silicon for the thermal pads that are supposed to be on the cpu.

But it's the same after a reflow. Could it be the cpu?

change the 2 silver SM caps 1000 - 10 in the white box area, they are a common fault with these boards,
also make sure you put the silicon pads and sheild back on,
