Re: baird 42 no picture
Cannot find anything under that model number. Can you confirm it's correct?Last edited by dick_barton; 02-16-2017, 08:32 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Re: baird 42 no picture
So alongside each connector pin there's a legend.
Can you measure the voltage on each wire and compare it to what is written alongside
Example
Legend Name = Reading
GND = 0V
+5V = xxxxV
5VSBY = xxxxV
12V = xxxxV
24V = xxxxxV
etcLast edited by dick_barton; 02-16-2017, 09:18 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Re: baird 42 no picture
You can set your meter to 200V dc if you want to. Place the black meter lead on metal panel and the red lead to connector pins.
Again do the check in standby and then out of standby.Last edited by dick_barton; 02-16-2017, 09:29 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Those voltages all appear to be fine except for the last one??Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Re: baird 42 no picture
Is there a cable at that location and are you are saying it reads 1.9V and not 5V which is written alongside? Where does the cable go? The power supply provides power to other circuit boards so it's an normally an output not an input.Last edited by dick_barton; 02-16-2017, 10:12 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Re: baird 42 no picture
So it now looks as though you have all the voltages and power to the backlights and Tcon board.
I don't know what else to suggest. It may be an EEPROM problem which are available from:-
http://www.ohmsupplies.co.uk/BAIRD-C...-PREPROGRAMMED
But perhaps better to wait to see what others on the forum suggest.
Can you hear sound when connected say to a DVD player?Willing to help but I'm no expert.
