    Lg50ps30fd

This set is 2009 model with a good picture etc apart from a few very thin vertical lines generally on LHS when viewing. Normally I would say bad screen but owner advises that 2 !!! new panels were fitted while it was under extended warranty but lines persisted. He also advises that they move around specially when first switched on. I have watched sports on the set and the lines are very faint. Will be getting it off him in a day or so to look into it and will post pics then. Meanwhile, any ideas perhaps logic or cabling? No info on model herein by searching.

Just a bit more history. Lines showed up at about 4 year old and bad panel was diagnosed - new panel fitted according to invoice - lines still in evidence and bad words exchanged - another new panel said to be fitted, further harsh words because problem still evident - brand new 50" Panasonic Smart TV given to client as replacement but old set also left - customer who is now my neighbour keeps new set in carton for 3 years and continues watching old one!! He has only now set up the new one. Question is I suppose were LG plasma panels having a bad run back then?

      Re: Lg50ps30fd

IFinally we lugged this set over to my workbench - had to wait a few days as just too hot around 40C recent heatwave (52C in shearing shed at my rellies place out west). Have now had a good look and ran a couple of quick tests and now no doubt this is an unfixable panel problem - five very fine vertical lines left side from front - do seem to come and go but that is due to colour changes in pictures. Lines hard to photograph but can be seen in bald spot of person shown.

        Sell or Shim Solar panels?
        by eccerr0r
Well, due to my grid tie inverter not accepting high voltages, and the fact that the lions in my solar panels are 36V (72-cell) I think I need to stick with 72-cell.

However I have a few smaller panels that are 36, 32, and two 30-cell. The 36 and 32 together run at 75% efficiency (and subtract more with additional inefficiencies) when running in parallel with the 72-cell panels. The kicker is that the two 30s... generate 0% power when connected in parallel(!)

So now what to do with these small panels?

        I could sell them...

        Or I could shim them....

        Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
        by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

        Samsung QN50Q60t lines on screen
        by jeyoung12
        Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...

        Samsung QE50Q67TAU - horizontal lines
        by Rubenlily
        Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
        by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
        • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
        • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
