Hi All, very new here
I picked up a free Element TV off of CL with the very issue as stated in the title.
Model # ELEFT466 serial # B1300228110004322
I've swapped LED strips for backlight on my LG TV in the past successfully, thought this may be the same issue for this TV.
BUT - there is no picture using the flashlight method.
There appears to be no backlight as well, no dim glow, no quick flash upon start-up, nothing.
The TV turns on (red to blue LED) and works as far as audio is concerned from HDMI1
I haven't metered anything as of yet, just simple observation after taking off the rear cover.
The only obvious thing is a steady hum noise coming out of the tcon, so at least I know it's getting some type of power
There is no visible damage to any board or to the TV overall, all connections tight.
I've read in a few of the posts on this forum that this is typically a more unpleasant experience when working on these Element TVs, so if it is recommended to give it up please do so.
Otherwise, could anyone provide any direction as to where to begin?
