    17IPS11 - No Backlight

I'm aware of this post but I need to understand something before I dive into the panel to change any strips. I do not have the backlight (there is display with a torch shines onto the screen). On the attached image, red/black wires, I get no voltage. If plugged out and test, no voltage. Should there be x voltage regardless if connected or not?

Yes, find the sch for IPS11 (inverter power supply) led drive area and test what you get vcc out the controller to the mosfet. Also check for short circuits on the led drive area output.

Any luck ? Ive not had this issue on these Psus yet they are actually very very reliable in terms of Vestel.

Yes. MP3394 needed replacing and also a led strip. TV is now working like new. Thanks.

Good job, usual suspects seems sometimes if an Led fails it can kill the driver Ic. Watch the lastest video on an Lg where there was a bad Led which also took the driver out as well.

                        Re: 17IPS11 - No Backlight

i just got Toshiba with same board, one open LED in the backlight, all LEDs are in serices. When not connected(and when connected too, due open LED, voltage rise hight ( 50v on multimeter) then start droping to 0 (cap discharge).
Seems planned to be so, as i can see on the Open LED Protection chart, page 5 on the datasheet.
Fixed the open led, everything OK now. But my point was - when backlight disconnected, no voltage at the connector (rise hight, then stop and drop to 0)
