    Panasonic TX-P65VT30 Mainboard issue.

I bought this huge tv for a relative cheap price hoping to fix it.

First time that i got a 65 inch tv , boards are different compared to 42/50 inch. The tv is "dead". With the mains plugged in the relay clicks one time but the tv won't turn on with the remote/power button. Already figured it out that the mainboard is the problem. I put a 50VT30 mainboard in and the tv turns on but the image is all negative/purple. Makes sense as its a 50 inch mainboard in 65 inch tv.

So my question is. Can i make this mainboard think its meant for a 65 inch tv? Maybe change something in the service menu?

65 inch is TNPH0935 TXN/A1QHUE --> does not turn on tv but is still "alive".
    50 inch is TNPH0935 TXN/A1QKUE --> purple/negative image.

    Anyone got a tip?

I would try with eprom change, IC9304
      Nothing to lose
If you have flasher you can copy it, but good idea is to make back up of both first

Service menu won't work , picture is not clear. EEPROM would be possible but i don't have time for that. Tv is really huge , its lying on the table.

Will buy a new mainboard if i can find one. Will 55inch work?

do you have the tv that board came from ? if so you could check service settings using board in working tv .
trouble is with that though you might end up with bad picture on both tv.s .

              Re: Panasonic TX-P65VT30 Mainboard issue.

Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.

Well i got a 42GT30 and 42VT30 but no y-sus board because i traded the repaired tnpa 5330 boards and a little money for this tv hoping it had 7 blinks haha.
Don't have the 50GT30 anymore , sold it yesterday.

              So i have to do it with a 65VT30 and two 50 inch mainboards. ( GT30 and VT30 ).
The picture you see is "white" with purple dots and it will eventually shut down with 6 blinks which is normal i guess. When i use the 50GT30 mainboard the tv will turn on for a few seconds and it shuts down with 6 blinks. The 50VT30 mainboard lasts longer but shuts down also.

              Vsus is 209V.

Ps , on the original board IC5000 gets very hot. Replaced it with one from a scrap board but it does the same. Reflow of the main cpu does not help either.

Found the TC mainboard but its somehow different. I think the TX55 will work but i need to be sure.

I don't know but i think you have either failing sc or ss board, don't think is mainboard problem, but it's just a hunch, don't have anything to support that technically

No don't think so. The tv was "dead" from the beginning. The original mainboard does not respond to the power button. The 50inch mainboard from the VT30 stays on when use the SC50 jumper , no problems there.

The 50 inch mainboard is not designed to work with a 65inch screen and both mainboards do the same and eventually shut down with 6 blinks. Its definitely some kind of handshake problem. Just need to find a 55 or 65 inch mainboard and the problem is solved.

Ps with a SS/SC problem i would have seen "snow" image but its not there.

                        hello there.
I have a 55VT30 maiboard that didn't work in a 50VT30 set (it powers up the set, but with no image). it is possible to be OK for you? I know tat is there some distanve between us, but... who knows?
The board is from a broken display set, so I guess it's ok.

Replaced original mainboard with a 55VT30 mainboard from the UK. ( Emos , good seller ). Set is working perfectly!
