    Samsung LE40D503F7 (double image)

    Good day.
    Samsung LE40D503F7
    The image like the pictures and colors double discolored.
    The voice properly.
    What could be the reason?

      Is it the same error on all inputs, have you tried HDMI/DVI from other sources ?

                  Unplug and clean the LVDS ribbon cable between main board and the tcon. If that doesn't do anything, go for the tab bonds, gate drive ic.

                          there are plastic ribbons going from the Tcon to the panel. Those are called tab bonds. Slighty wiggle them or put pressure on them on the Tcon and on the panel. You also can try to "flex" the frame on the screen a little or tap the frame or grab the frame and squeeze it. See if you get a clear picture. Tab bond failures are pretty common. Also they do present themselves in different manners. If all the tab bonds on the screen itself and on the tcon is good. There may be a gate drive IC on the tab bond that fails too... depending on panel. You can youtube " samsung tab bond".

                              +1 Capleaker... also you can try first to inter the service mode menu .. and check it will display clear or not. also you can from the this service menu to make hard reset to the TV

                                  One of those panel with tab bonding boards on the bottom edge of the LCD panel, I hope it does not have damages done by cleaning fluid when people spray the cleaner on the screen.

                                              I'm back with another tv and another problem.
                                              I try to improve my knowledge on fixing TV, and all technics used until now are not fixing correctly the problem.

                                              First, reboot issue, I use tape Method to find out the right side that cases the issue.
                                              Then using this it's working for quite 1hour30, then at some point of time the image became double on the bottom for half the screen.
                                              Then double image reduce in height and move to the top.
                                              The image is like folded on around 1cm and the bottom has been moved to the top by 1cm.

                                              LCD displays a 2nd image slighty offset vertically. And multiple pairs of black lines along the bottom. Probably common as google "TCL 49S405 double image" pulls up this ifixit post ( link ) with identical ( nearly, but their fault seems to be on the other half of the panel than mine ) problem without solution.

                                              This one looks to be a more difficult to diagnose because most? of TCON seems integrated ( CSOT BGA on buffer baord) into the left panel edge board ( looking from rear of TV) There are 2 buffer boards for each 1/2 of the screen. Main connects to the left buffer board...

                                              having problem with samsung ua55es6800

                                              tv had backlight on, sound working - responds to the remote control but no image.

                                              check tcon board - had 12v in but no other voltages present.
                                              when disconnected left ribbon cable - got back voltages and half image with lines and distorsion

                                              when leaving only left side connected - again no voltages and no image.

                                              put a tape on all (cd?! lines) on the left ribbon cable and got complete but distorted image (horizontal lines).

                                              kept trying to block less pins on the left ribbon cable...
