CHN 131 is probably manufacturing plant code, date code, etc. CHN may be = China.

The schematic says it's an STF13NM60N made by STMicroelectronics and available from Mouser and several other suppliers.
Check any diodes/zener diodes located near QP801S and for damaged capacitors before you replace the mosfet.

looks like they might be overheating because of all that silicon ..its only supposed to cover the legs to stop dust . or maybe the heat-sink isnt flat or paste dried up .

They have no paste on them, but I think you might be on to something there funny they all failed the same time. I figured it was a lighting strike or voltage spike at the hotel.

So far i have seen about 10 tvs from there these are all the same tv. The first ones were main boards, 2 had broken screens, The rest are all power supplies.

I am looking at the back of the boards now
going to compare them from a known good supply
I do see some issues on one of the other power supplies I will post pics got to take them all outside to get good pics

i guess they are all same age and similar usage so that might be why they all died at same time ..unless they all went bang at exactly the same time then a power surge is more likely .

comparing the 2 power supplies this caught my eye

                        rp814 30ohmJ 3216
                        these test bad
                        db802 KDS184 tests fine
I suppose this means that the chip (up801)(SCY99096A) is bad as well I have
no idea how to test it. (will be my project today google it)

I can find parts but they are all in china and a 100 at a time though free shipping and cheap lol
                        no doubt poor qaulity
still at a loss how to find parts

sorry re-posted the pictures with the spot highlighted better

if qp801s is shorted then that is what blew those resistors ..
looks to me like up801 drives the gate on qp801s

That PFC IC is toasted due to high Voltage dump into the Gate drive output pin of the IC when shorts is between Drain and Gate, that is why I always recommend to replace the IC and the MOSFET at the same time + any damage parts in the Gate drive circuit.

This is were i am at right now, drinking coffee today and not sick
first have to order a microscope. prolly just get all the parts at one place need to look at the other 2 now and resolder back in the good parts on this one. Going to wait to get parts for all 3 plus if its all the same I will just get some extra.

hopefully the cost is less then getting one of fleabay. I would really like to fix them.
