that looks like its turned off ok now have you tried re tuning the tv channels

No Dear friend,, he had Hotel mode active from his photo

in hotel mode he had hotel mode Yes ( mean active )
IR smart no ( this need to turn yes then he can change hotel mode to No.

this setting if the Tv installed in Hotel, customer will be not able to switch the Tv as normal mode via RC

this is for you the service manual, read after page 59

when the tv is in tv mode i can get the menu screen up and it is actually scanning the channels but analogue signal was turned off.

I turned the blue background off and i get the snowy screen.

The DTV does not seem to be working. i push the Dtv then the menue button and nothing happens . No menue or tuning screen like i have in the tv analogue tuning section.

I have also noticed now that when the tv is in standby mode the led is flashing where it was a solid blue light befor. Ive just read the instruction manual and it Reads
when the tv is switched to standby mode, standby LED can blink to indicate that features such as standby search, over air download or timer is active .

When i went back into the other room after the image install i had both laptop and tv screens visable. It was all working good.

The next day my son was watching the tv and left it on standby and went to bed. i went to watch an hour of Tv befor bed and it would not come out of standby.

My Son told me last night that the TV was taking longer and longer to come on. He leaves the tv on standby when he goes to bed and i watch an hour of it befor bedtime and turn the tv fully off when i go to bed. I cant remember the last time i actually started the tv up from cold.

HOTEL MODE: MENU, 7,9,3,5

In my picture "hotel" hotel setting is off meaning its giving the user full access ?.
Pushing the 4725 in diagnostic settings its set to yes and greyed out.

7935 overides 4725 ?. which means hotel settings is off and user has full access ?.
if 7935 setting is on then user is limited ?.

Sorry for my dumb reply but this is all a new learning curve for me.

there are 2 option , main service mode , which it show under hotel mode Yes, IR smartloader NO, ( this main function )

hotel menu ( menu ) are the setting for Hotel mode when it switched to on.
it show on your photo OFF, but last state was ON. and you said you had never changed any value, however it show now YES at the main service mode.

you installed your PC while it was pluged to the TV via HDMI or any other source.. this TV had option it can be programmed from out source via terminal. so its likely the PC setup missed up with TV eeprom . this why it had switched hotel mode at main menu.

go to hotel menu ( menu ) and try if you can switched it from off to on. so it matched the setting at first main service menu.. if this succeed then can be changed later when hotel mode switched off.

iR smartloader turn it on.. i think it will ask password try 0000 in order to responce to RC comand to change hotel mode option

all this not help, then there will be only to programm it via terminal, and its quite difficult , so better change main board.

also go to hotl mode menu ( menu ) and plug empty usb format FAT32 and choice copy to USB, the file of hotel mode you have compress then to zip and upload them over here to read your TV setting and if any change can be done to write them back to TV

it will not allow me to switch the iR smartloader to on. its always grayed out.

im also suprised its not asking for a code to unlock the menu in both pdfs it shows a password menu

whats peoples thoughts on replacing the eeprom if theres one available? are the hotel mode settings stored in it?

Post #23 Ohms Supplies, but for BOARD TYPE: 17MB26-3 which is why I suggested contacting them to see if it would be suitable for his board.

Its not asking for any code which makes me believe im not following diahs instructions properly.

In the 4725 menu the hotel mode always read YES and iR bootloader no, both always grayed out.

The 7935 setting allows me to change them , also reads to power off tv to write settings to EEPROM which i did.
I followed that link you sent to me in post 33 vince. Then posted the hotel Picture in post 38. It does not ask for any input code ?.

I have contacted Ohms Supplies and waiting on their reply.

I would like to thank you all for your advice and input to my TV problem. without your help this TV would have been taken to the tip for recycling.

If after all this i cannot get it working then, I have its original box , manual, "brand new" original tv remote and spare remote.

Im not going to give up on it just yet, but i am close to giving up. I will box the tv up and get it sent out to who ever wants it for parts. The tv itself is imaculate.

I think i powered it off on panel button. not remote. It was never powered off from wall socket?.
it was powered off while in 7935 hotel settings after changes were made.

not sure if it matters? but if in standby it may not work? try unplugging it nothing too loose.

this should be, it written at the pdf i upload to you,, any change of service menu will take effect only after change plug out from wall socket to save the change on eeprom

Still no luck on setting IR Bootloader to on.

I think it has to be done in DTV mode to initiate those settings. Thats why i have no code to unlock the menus. Unfortunately i cannot get the menu up when i select DTV mode, it displays a black screen and nothing else.

Still waiting on a reply back from Ohms supplies.
