Samsung LN52A550P3FXZA - Caps not bulging

    need help troubleshooting

I have a 52" Samsung LCD TV purchased around 2008. It's model number LN52A550P3FXZA. Upon start up it goes through this whole cycling thing on and off and then starts after about 20 to 30 minutes. After researching the internet, I found out about this potential capacitor issue and then found this forum. I opened up the back of the TV this past weekend expecting to find the bulging and leaking capacitors. To my surprise, all the capacitors looked perfectly fine, so now I'm back to analyzing and troubleshooting and trying to figure out what to do next. By the way, I'm a complete novice when it comes to this stuff, but thanks to the internet and youtube videos, I've fixed many things around the house successfully. I'm thinking I should try to just swap out all 6 capacitors and see what happens, but I figured I'd do some more research here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

budm has some thread about that. You can stick an electrolytic cap in C102 too.

You should re-cap the power supply. It would suck if you put it back together and 2 months later it is cycling again.

Thanks guys. If you could dumb it down for me that would be appreciated. Total novice here.

Is it possible the caps are bad even though they are not bulging? And how difficult is it to replace that C102? Are there any tutorials or videos to do that?

yes, caps can be bad, but look perfectly fine outside. To check them, you need an ESR meter. C102 is on the main board, some small surface mount cap. budm has pictures of it.
