samsung white screen replaced as15

hi people

i had a samsung 40" with totally white screen, i ordered a new as15 from china and replaced the ic, it worked well for an hour but is slowly fading back to white
im gonna open her up again and give the chip another blast from the hot air, but i also have another ic as i ordered 2, but i dont want to waste them if there is something else that could be causing it, also this ic did not have a heatsink or heatpad

any advice i could glean before i carry out the surgery?

maybe the voltage to the chip is too high.

im a noob at this, could ya elaborate, would that mean the tcon needs further investigation, what sends power to the chip and how would i measure that
