My toshiba 42hl196 tv would not not turn on . So I unplugged it for a day then decided to give it another try and it turned back on . It worked for about a week straight then I decided to put it in another room and when I plugged it back in I got the time/record 3 blinking lights . I then replaced the Q880 (STRW6765). Then that took care of the 3 blinking lights and then the power light started blinking blue . Finally the tv turned on and was working fine and I thought it was ok . After about ten minutes it sounded like loud fire crackers going off through the speakers for about 3 or so seconds then the tv shut off . I had to wait about a minute and it turned on and it was working fine until it did the same thing . Any ideas what could be going on ? I have not seen any post close to this problem. Any thoughts of what I could try to get this fixed would be appreciated .

Re: Toshiba lcd tv 42hl196
Update . I was thinking about this . After I repl aced the Q880 STRW6765 part .The tv worked fine hooked up to the analog tv cable in and not the hdmi . When connected to the hdmi the tv will work ok then that's when I get the fire cracker loud sound through the speakers and then the tv shuts down . Would that mean possibly the seine board is bad ? Also the fan on the cable card slot is not running . Should that be running ? Any ideas ? Thanks
