LG 42PW450T TV won't turn on

I have a LG 42PW450T - ZA.BEKLLJP which suddenly would not switch on.

The remote red flashing light works fine indicating that there is power but the remote will not switch it on and the touch power button does not make any difference.

I've no idea where or what to check next and would really appreciate some help please.

Good effort on researching, Imo just chuck the Tv out as you have not even helped us to help you one bit. Getting sick of this now expecting help but not making any effort.

Were not physics, do some research on how to test Plasma Tv voltages and what you should add to a thread will be a start.

Please do not add any more to this thread. You're the sort of idiot that puts newbies off asking questions on forums. Instead, you might like to go and throw abuse at others as I'm guessing you're the sort of person who does that frequently!

OK. Do you have a multimeter and know how to use it. If you do then there are voltages written on a label on the back panel of the plasma screen saying what the corresponding voltages should be on the power supply board.

I've removed the back of the TV and hopefully attached some images.

Yes, I've a fair idea. I'll try to get hold off it tomorrow and take some readings.

I'm afraid there were no voltages on a label on the back panel but I have taken some readings myself.

The attached images shows what I think is the main power board with markings 1 - 5 in red type and the readings with the negative probe earthed against the frame are -

1 There is 135V AC on either side of this fuse or resister (I don't know what it is)
2 There is 135V AC on either side of this fuse or resister (I don't know what it is)
3 There is 238V AC on either side of this fuse or resister (I don't know what it is)
4 There are 5 pins & they all read zero.
5 From the top pin to the bottom readings (DC) are 0.01, 0.03, 3.48, and the rest are zero

Can you post a picture of the label. There are normally test points labelled on the power supply where you check these voltages.

What do Va and Vs measure on the power supply.

Does a relay click in when you attempt to power the set up?

The white connector has 18 pins on it which correspond to the legend alongside. Can you give the voltage readings on the 18 pins when you try to come out of standby which may give a clue as to what is wrong.

                            M_On =
                            Auto_GND
                            RL_ON =
                            AC_DET =
                            etc

Dell Precision 7710 - it can not be turn on and off with the switch
                              by ajc333
                              Hello.
Markings on the board AAPB0 LA-C551P REV:4.0 (A03). The laptop came to the service with the fault of shutting down after a few minutes of load such as a game. It turned out that the smaller fan was damaged, a complete original cooling system from dell was ordered and from this time everything is back to normal. The problem, however, is the inability to turn on and off the laptop with the switch. On the switch board, the voltage drops from 3V to 0V when the switch is pressed.
On the connector on the board (from the right side) I have the following voltages:
                              n1. - 3V after...

                              by Natob82
Great to be here! I'm a newbie here trying to find a "micro", momentary push switch to repair a Sony "clamshell" video walkman. This micro switch has long since discontinued by Sony, however I hope there are third-party switches of the same size and functionality that I might be able to source to play the same role. The purpose of this switch is to tell the video walkman that the user has activated the mechanical tape eject button, turning that physical action into an electronic signal that tells the tape transport mechanism to open so one can load or eject a video tape. I...

NEC TurboExpress On/Off Power Switch Replacement Help
                              by grimacelord
                              Hello,

I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.

I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.

I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need....

I have a very small float switch, I'm using in a very small tank. It only fits in one way. Link https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Switch.../dp/B07DZ1J2GB

I want the switch to be open when the water is high, and closed when the water is low. Unfortunately it works the opposite. And since this switch is designed to be underwater, it's all sealed up, there is no taking it apart or hacking it up.

It will be driving a water pump, basic idea, when the water is low, switch closes, which turns on water pump, when enough water is in the tank, float switch floats,...
