by acedogblastFirst off I would like to thank this community as it has provided me with great information that has helped me greatly on my repair for this Marantz SR5012 AV receiver. I am creating this new thread as the other 2 that I have created here has had their original question/problem solved and I plan that this is the final thread on my repair. Please note that this is my first time repairing audio amplifiers so I may not be aware of common issues and things to know.
Lets start at what I have done so far. Random speaker popping on all channels is fixed by replacing the 2 large filter...-

by ggil44Hello, I have a Monster HTS 5100 MKII Power center I am having trouble isolating the short circuit. On the primary input board I measure 0 ohms from the power to the neutral and 0 ohms from power to ground. I tried removing the transformer because I heard that has been a problem but it made no difference. There were some traces on the circuit board that were melted and open so I re-soldered jumpers to reconnect them again (see area circled in yellow). Prior to that the HT-5100 power center would just flash a light labeled “Abnormal Voltage”. I am enclosing some pictures and would greatly appreciate...

So I have this home cinema with only the subwoofer and the central speaker working. The unit boots up with blue light, so no protection mode nor short detected. All fonctions are available (radio, cd, aux etc...).
I have the schematic of it but no idea what to look at and how. Seems that the sub and center speaker are both connected to the same relay but I don't get how the 3 other have failed as they are all powered from the same supply? How can I diagnose it safely?-

by Junior247So I have a 15" LED/LCD AMP'D TV with a radio and CD player that I want to convert to a media center by having it play music and videos from a USB flash drive or SD card. I have gotten it to read an SD card but I cannot navigate the USB Interface with either the control panel or remote control even though everything appears to be connected correctly. The one thing that is different, however, is that the DVD Interface Board (AL10-M) that I am using to read the SD card is from a different TV (a Hiteker) whereas the motherboard (CV3553BL-D) appears to be from an AMP'D. Pictures of the DVD Interface...10-22-2023, 02:56 AM

by otaku_nutHi all, I tried searching the site for answers but I'm a bit over my head understanding some of what might apply and what doesn't, so please be patient with me. I used Freakaftr8's fix to remove the left driver board to restore picture to a black screen with sound Vizio E701i-A3. After doing so, I now have a large red vertical stripe down the center of the screen. The fix did require getting another t-con board from online, I ordered it before I knew about the mosfit fix for the old t-con board. I have tried cleaning the cable connections to the t-con board. I swapped the cables going from...08-19-2025, 06:11 PM
